83rd Annual Golf Classic
The 83rd Annual Father and Three Sons Golf Classic was hosted by the Lancaster family and held on Friday, August 24th at Copetown Woods Golf Club, about 20 minutes outside Hamilton, Ontario.
Beyond the great course and fantastic weather, the family arranged for Justin Vaughn, Defensive Tackle (#92) with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, to be onsite to greet players, take pictures and sign autographs.
Sam Hisey and Sean Snyder got the event officially underway with the Ceremonial Tee Shot from the oldest and youngest participants.
Speaking of ages, Gino Luciani shot his age of 82, and John Nash shattered his age of 77 by shooting a 2-under 70 on the day, including a 4-under front nine.
2018 Scramble Recap
Keeping with tradition, the optional Family Scramble/Practice round was played on Thursday, August 23rd. Beyond providing a preview of the course, the day featured some impressive competition, ending in a 3-way tie at -13. By applying the GOA’s “regression” rule, the Condottas and Lancasters conceded the trophy to the Bain family.
